When I first jumped back onto social media about two weeks ago, I said that I had been on quite the journey and that I’d share more later. Tonight I’m going to start sharing that story a bit more. As many of you know, our daughter was attacked by our dog on May 30th of this past year. Nozzle was 11 years old and truly our first child. Daliah had to have surgery – 70 stitches on her face – Nozzle was put down – and our lives changed forever. It was the hardest day of my life and really marks for me the start to what can really only be called an existential crisis. I’ll continue to share this journey and I hope that I can help others who may have faced similar challenges and bring warmth and light to anyone struggling through crisis. This photo was taken in 2014.

Hey girl, I blogged for a long time when Porter was young and we were having some fertility issues. It’s such a great way to talk about things! Looking forward to reading more.
